Orchidea is on the second floor of the palazzo and comprises a large living room, with sofa bed (double); table and well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bathtub, anteroom with single bed, connected to the master bedroom (double bed). The rooms are light and spacious.

Included: fully equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer, air conditioning, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, dressing slippers and soap, TV, Internet and Wi-Fi, washing machine.

Optional: secure parking at Euro 8,00 per day, selection of wines.

Festa Della Palombella

Traditional Orvieto festival on Ascension Day. The descent of the Holy Spirit to Earth is represented through a dove, which leaves high up on Via Maitani to descend to the façade of the Cathedral.

City of Corpus Domini

Medieval festival and religious play which takes place on the weekend between La Palombella and the Eucharist. A chess game in the Piazza del Duomo with living pieces between Orvieto and the town of Marostica (province of Veneto).

The Corpus Domini Procession parade

Historic religious event in which the Body of Christ is carried in procession, accompanied by a parade of historical figures. The day before, Saturday, the procession of Our Lady passes through the streets in the historic centre of Orvieto.

A rich, high quality and varied programme typifying Mancinelli productions.

Umbria Folk Festival (August)

A festival of music, culture, traditions, gastronomy and wine which takes place in the Piazza del Popolo in the town centre. Five days of concerts by Italian and international artists, workshops, tastings and folkloric presentations.

Umbria Jazz Winter (December)

A music festival over the New Year making Orvieto the international capital of Jazz. Five days of jazz, gospel and soul, with concerts in historic town centre venues from midday to late into the night.

How to reach CasaVera
By train

Rome – Florence direct mainline. Journey time 80mins. Disembark at Orvieto, exit the station and take the funicular from its terminus opposite the railway station. After traveling up to the terminus on Piazza Cahen, take urban minibus “A” at the bus stop directly outside (using the same ticket) and disembark at the Piazza del Duomo stop. Walk down Via Duomo, turn second left onto Via Signorelli and follow this street straight ahead until it reaches Piazza Ippolito Scalza and then find us easily, CasaVera, just a few metres on the right at Vicolo Albani 8.

By car

From the Autostrada, follow signs for Orvieto Centre. After approx. 3km turn left and follow signs for town centre, continuing on his road which goes through the Porta Romana. Turn left onto Via Alberici, follow this to Piazza Febei, turning left here to follow the street until arriving at Piazza Ippolito Scalza where there is a car park with two hour free parking.
